Constructed on a slender strip of coastal land, the West Kilbride golf course is bordered by agricultural land on one side and the beach on the other. Straight hitters are rewarded as Out of Bounds is a factor in 12 of the holes.

Despite its predominantly flat nature, the course showcases numerous undulations that, in conjunction with the invigorating sea breezes, significantly elevate the level of difficulty.

In addition to the challenging layout, the course is also well-maintained and offers excellent facilities for golfers, including a clubhouse with a bar and restaurant.
