Melia Villaitana Golf Resort

We upgraded at 60 euros per night the room we were originally allocated was fine but we wanted more space & golf view. We also purchased the food deal at 20 euros a night each but sadly the food was very disappointing. The resort is beautiful, clean, friendly staff & it was quiet just what we were looking for.

bathroom could do with a walk-in shower we were offered an upgrade room for 15 euros per night other than that rooms were comfortable

Lovely hotel and very good value for money. The room was comfortable, but we were put into the worst part of the hotel for views. We were on the ground floor and hidden in a shaded corner with no view. I called ahead to ask if we could get a room with a view, but the staff member I spoke to wasn't helpful at all. The service from staff was also pretty slow. Golf was great, I'd definitely visit again - I'd just want to have a room with a view.

This is the 4th time ive stayed here (booked with your golf travel), and is by far the worst stay all round. For a start, there were 3 single lads and we were promised a larger, triple room by both Golf travel and the hotel upon check in. Arrived at the room and only 2 beds in the room in a standard room. We called reception immediately and were told to go play golf as planned and it would be sorted when we returned. It wasn't sorted when we arrived back in the room. We called reception again and advised we were heading out for the night and could it be sorted on the 2nd day when again playing golf. Again it wasn't sorted. meaning 2 guys had to share 1 bed / set of bedding throughout the trip. On the 3rd day, we got up early to watch rugby world cup and decided to order room service as had missed breakfast times. Ordered 3 x sandwiches and thought would arrive quickly. Got a call 60 mins later advising room service would take another 20-30 mins and told it would be quicker if we came to collect. Which completely defeats the point of room service and information would be nice to know from the start. 35 mins later when room service arrived (so 95 mins in total), only 1 sandwich arrived. Waiter apologised, told us he would bring another 2 and give us it all for free. Arrived another 20 mins later. So almost 2 hours in total for 3 sandwiches. In a 4/5 star hotel. Which we didn't enjoy because of the situation and the fact we were now in a rush to get out. Got an apology for the food mess up, but never the bed situation. mentioned on check out but got told we got the food for free. Like we should be grateful. All round poor experience from a hotel ive always enjoyed in my 5 visits in the past.

The hotel was great, there was only one person serving at the bar most of the time.

The whole experience was great. The golf was brilliant. Had a great time with the lads. The only disappointment was our room size and location. Other rooms when we stayed before were much better.

Overall the Hotel was very good, however they did not have enough bar staff to cater for the amount of people staying, the bar service was exceptionally poor.

Room upgraded on arrival and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar staff were all over the place, very slow service even with little customers. The room was cleaned every day and clean towels were always available.

The hotel and facilities were really good, but let down by bar and restaurant prices which were exorbitant, ate and drank in Benidorm Each night taxi to and from resort 14 euros ew, but still cheaper than Resort.

The hotel is quite strange - set out as a Spanish village. The buildings which house the hotel rooms are very spread out (which is good, but if you have mobility issues or are lazy; not so good). The pools are simply amazing, at least 5 separate and absolutely huge. The complex is a 10 minute taxi ride from Benidorm (which should be avoided if you wish to retain your sanity). The golf courses are a 3 minute walk from the hotel. The restaurants vary; the included (for some packages) lunch / dinner seemed varied and OK (we didn't eat there). The Italian Casa Nostra was good. The bar food option was OK. Service can be very slow. There is entertainment every night in the square in high season (what we saw was excellent!). If you are a golfer, or a family with a preference for on site amenities then this could be for you. Looking for action - look elsewhere. The summer season is family dominated. The on-site conference centre seems to attract a lot of corporate events and stays (which had no impact on our holiday).

Amazing hotel with friendly staff and a great location with all the facilities you could need , excellent value for the money 5 stars .Very clean and welcoming facilities .Only very tiny downfall is no atm onsite but lets be honest most people use contactless nowadays, other than that would highly recommend the hotel and facilities .

The hotel is very good standard the staff were very helpful and the room was comfortable but no tea making facilities the location was a little out of the way but we knew that when booking. No entertainment at night so needed taxi to go out at night

5 star resort, what a wonderful place. We all loved it. Rooms were amazing, choice of pools. One heated outdoor ! Breakfast was ok, plenty of choice ( omelet made to order was brilliant ) Only one bar, restaurant was open ( food was not to good ) We had to get taxis to Benidorm every night.

Breakfast was delicious and a good variety of food we ate at the golf club house after golf it is reasonably priced and very good. If you want the night life it’s 10 minuets in a taxi and between 10/15 euros

On arrival upgraded to superior room overlooking the golf course. These rooms were excellent. Since my last visit they have refurbished the bar wow it looks amazing The staff are always polit6and courtious and helpful at every occasion

Lovely rooms . Only downside was noise at times from other residents in the corridors and challenging air conditioning.

Excellent hotel with friendly and helpful staff, 5 swimming pools but water cold due to the time of the year, great Buffet breakfast. expect this hotel to be busy in the season. Short taxi ride of 10 minutes into the heart of Benidorm. We would certainly return.

It's been a few years since my last visit here, and I found it to be much better now. It wasn't bad before, but the standard everywhere has been raised. Check-in and -out were easy and efficient, and staff were universally friendly and efficient and clearly motivated to provide excellent service. The bedroom was quite small but very comfortable, with good en-suite facilities and a balcony. Breakfasts were superb, with a huge choice of foods, eggs cooked to order, and great coffee. The bar had outside tables which was a pleasant place to sit and admire the architecture of the hotel.

Hotel is ideal for golfers and conferences, I have stayed here a couple of times before but going out of season (January) we only had one bar open for drinks, breakfast lunch and dinner. Only off menu only! The last morning the buffet restaurant was opened and was very good.

Hotel ideal for winter golf break. One minor criticism the restaurant for dinner very limited menu. Breakfast excellent a wide choice of food. Overall excellent.

golf course Hotels don't come any better than this. If I had one complaint it would be the hotel is massive, so if you are not near the reception it can be quite a walk to the facility's. But all in all a really comfortable stay.

Our room was in the 5 star section of this hotel & was large & well furnished & comfortable. It had a sofa, armchair & 2 desks, a well-stocked fridge & a separate dressing room & storage area. There was also 2 doors to an external terrace with furniture, which was excellent for sunbathing in November (20*C)! The beds were very comfortable & it was so quiet at night that your sleep was not disturbed.The staff were brilliant, & we ate an excellent breakfast each morning seated on the external terrace next to one of the swimming pools.

Hotel and room very good once we turned off the air con which was heating the room too much. At this time of year resort was very quiet maybe a little too quiet for some but Benidorm is on the doorstep.

been here six times so all in all very good,i booked the same rooms as the previous year with loads of notice but where given rooms in the main block.

The actual hotel is fantastic especially the pool areas. The only thing that let it down was the rooms are a bit tired looking . We booked 3 twin rooms but we where told on arrival we had been upgraded to a family suit.problem is for 4 men only 3 beds plus a sofa bed with no linen.we managed to get some bedsheets the next day only for them to be taken again the following morning. Apart from this we enjoyed our time at melia villaitana.

The hotel which is a reproduction of a typical Spanish is wonderfully recreated . The layout of the many swimming pools is tastefully done and well thought out. Rooms very comfortable and as we had a south facing balcony great for sitting out. Breakfast variations plentiful and of good quality. Bars reasonably priced, the overall atmosphere of the hotel is relaxed and enjoyable.

Great hotel, Great Golf courses, More organisation needed for golf buggies.

Staff very unhelpful to one of our party who lost a bag. Eventually found on Saturday. We were asked by member of staff at breakfast what improvementcould be made. We asked for tea and coffee in room. Later that day a kettle arrived. The next day a couple of packs of tea and sugar. No coffee no milk. Bar service very slow .

Beautiful hotel. Ideal as a B &B location for the the accompanying two golf courses. A 15 minute taxi ride into the town

The hotel is great. Loads of space, excellent rooms, fantastic pools and a beautiful elevated location with wonderful views.

Levante Course

The Hotel is formed like a traditional village, with reception, a bar and shops around a square. Buildings were really impressive and gave a lovely atmosphere. Reception were excellent, very helpful with restaurants, taxis and an overcharge refund when someone charged a spa treatment to the lads room, when we were all out on the golf course. You can also have a 5* service option in a separate part of the hotel where drinks are included. Rooms were really nice, well looked after. 2 big pools, one with a beach. Poolside bar and restaurant, tapas restaurant, Italian restaurant, bar on main square plus small shop. Great views from the pools over the local area. Would definitely use this Hotel as a base again , play each course once , then book rounds on nearby courses. The hardest bit was that there wasn't anywhere to store your golf clubs at the golf centre... Only 200 metres from the hotel , but the transport wasn't always available ....the golf management could do with offering a golf club lockers. Again this may have been sorted, hope so.

I am in the process of booking my next trip with YGT. They are very Customer Focused and will always do their best to give you the best deal possible. I find Richard Van Der Putte an excellent and helpful guy to deal with.

Very good hotel. The 2 courses were very good but could do with a bit more sand in the bunkers. 

Great value resort, suitable for all levels of golfer and mixed groups. Difficult to beat for value for money.

Been on trips with YGT now for the last 8 years & fantastic service every time would recommend them to anyone.

YGT is the best company that I have travelled with with our group. Surprisingly everything went so smoothly from the airport and transfers to and from hotel. Great!!!

A lovely place to stay ( if your playing golf )We like everything about it. We've been there for the last 5 years. The 19th hole is also very good overlooking the golf course . Food there is also very good and good choice.

Very helpful but occasionally a slow response in providing quotes. We chose it for its value and it delivered on that score.

We really enjoyed our stay and only 12 minutes from Benidorm. you can leave your clubs in a secure room down next to the start, saves dragging them back and forth. plenty of pools for a dip. Would return no problem.

You always seem to find us something new and exciting. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us this year!

Perfect but I am afraid now that the prices in Spain seem to have gone up quite a bit.

Excellent value for money although the condition of the Poniente course was a real let down & the lack of availability of buggies was also an issue.

What a place amazing 😉 we went as a group of 16 all ages with hcps ranging from 3-18 great location golf on your door step 10€ into the old town a truly wonderful trip.

Room was fabulous. We were upgraded to the 5 star suite. Golf courses were great. Really enjoyed playing there and the two courses were quite different. Lovely pools at the hotel.

Thank you for arranging the golf break to Melia Villaitana that my son and I have just enjoyed. When my son suggested the break a quick call to you was all it took for us to have some fantastic options, having made the choice of destination the booking was smooth and trouble free. The resort was perfect for us with everything we needed on site and reasonably priced. The contrast in the two courses made for an excellent holiday golfing experience. Unfortunately neither of us managed a birdie but plenty of pars and some quality father and son time. The odd gorse bush on my home course will hold no fears now after the spectacular challenges of the Poniente couse. We are already looking forward to our next holiday with you.

enjoyed playing the course lots of bunkers as we were in November we were unable to take buggies onto the fairway as they had been winter treated which made club selection more difficult walking to and from the buggie's (very good course)

Do not bother,we have a tee off time of 1.40 and then was told we would have to play with two other guys this was not a problem but we were told if we wanted to play a 2 ball we would have to pay for a 4 ball slot!!!! all they care about is money cram as many on the course as they can at one time,once you have paid they dont care!!!! we started at 1.40 only finished 14 holes these took 5 hours to play due to the amount of people on the course. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!

not a 18 hole course,not worth the bother playing!!!

Played this course but had to wait 45 minutes at the 1st tee because the course squeezed in a group of 16 ahead of us. We gave up after the 7th hole. I let the team know though and they were excellent, they let us play again at 4pm and we could play either the Poniente or the Levante. Good service and a lovely course with some beautiful holes.

Levante much better condition than Poniente. Good speed of round. And saw someone selling drinks once plus was a vending machine on the way round. Advised, Had to stick to the cart paths. Which we did and left some long walks to balls. But other groups were not, incl one directly in fron. And never told off by a steward.

Round was going OK and we literally saw no one in front of us until approx. hole 10. All of a sudden there were 8 golf carts waiting on the tee. Apparently a society arrived late and just decided to play the back 9. Had to wait 35 mins on a tee which was frustrating. But got round quickly after this. Was a fairy hot day and got thirsty but didn't see anyone selling drinks all the way round. No vending machine etc either Green conditions varied A lot

This was a lovely course, forgiving fairways, some long par five holes though, built for big hitters, I thought it was great.

I played badly this day and I found the course unforgiving, if you hit the ball wrong, the ball was lost I lost six or seven balls that day.

Loved it. Very picturesque. Some demanding holes some easy. Great mixture. Good laugh with the lads. Take plenty of balls. 😎👍⛳️

Only disappointment was that the fairways had been seeded so couldn’t drive on them. Difficult when on other side of fairway not knowing what club to take. This only happened near end of holiday so not to bad.

Take plenty golf balls with you, tricky par threes and anything off line is going to be lost. A very good par 62 course.

Booked with golf breaks 2 rounds Levante, 2 rounds poniente, Each round was a 10-30am tee off, on arriving last day we were told We had missed our tee off time of 9-50 by a very surly starter, On producing our tee time, 10-30 we were finally given our buggies and correct time without an apology.

Course was fine, and everyone enjoyed, buggy is a must have, as long way from greens to tees.

greens had just been worked on so first round was a little tough. as the days went by the green became easier to play and more how id expect

Fastest round was 4.5 hours and first round over 5 hours.....both in buggies.

Levante Course was Absolutely Superb in all aspects. Together with my Son in Law we played the Golf Course Twice. Would Recommend to Anybody and if again in the area would most certainly play the course in the Future

Great resort style course. Not easy, but well laid out and not too tough. Open from Tees for higher handicapers, bunkers in play for lower hcp. Greens were excellent. Fabulous views over Benidorm and the sea, and mountains to the rear. Not too busy. Very walkable if not too hot (unlike Poniente course). A 3 minute walk from the VillaItana hotel.

An Executive 18 hole course, with 10 par 3's and 8 par 4's. Most of the holes are excellent, and the par 4's shortish (200-240 metres or so). A lot of risk on the par 4's. Buggies are a MUST on this course, with very long distances between several of the holes. The bunkers were very poorly maintained (not just unraked, but weeds growing in several). However, for a 3 hour round for a 3 ball, well worth a visit.

shorter course compared to the levante course ,was in excellent condition as well with a lot of tricky par 3 holes which made you think about every shot which made it a great course to play , highly recommend testing your golf skills on it.

We enjoyed the playing the course but the greens have just been treated and were running a little slow. I thought they would have been treated a little earlier in the year.

10 par 3s on this course, but don't be fooled into thinking it easy. Great test of golf.

Championship course on par with the best courses I have played in Spain and Portugal . In great condition , fantastic fairways ,and fast greens in very good condition .Played course twice and a real challenge as good as Henry Cotton course at Pienna and the La Manga championship course .Would highly recommend

10 par threes some very difficult and challenging . 8 par fours again challenging but all below 300 metres long . The course was in great condition and is very unusual course something you would not play at home .It is very hilly and on side of a hill ravines and gullies . A buggie is included in price as you cannot walk it .Dont be put off the par 62 so good we played it again on our day off .

A great little course just over 3000 yards but well worth a round some very interesting and challenging holes would definitely have a buggy some big hills to climb from green to tee

We played levante course 1st nice course not silly long like some quite a lot bunkers would recommend a buggy we hired golf clubs off 1 of the local companies it was easy and the clubs all turned up as we ordered them 10 sets

Another good course at the Melia long par 4's with a few challenges along the way. Ideal to hire a buggy on this course. thoroughly enjoyed the course along with my fellow golfers.

Very good course in perfect condition, some challenges with bunkers, however very enjoyable round of golf.

A really enjoyable short course with ten par 3s and eight par 4s. Some of the 3s were really challenging and the 4s were pleasantly long. Buggies were provided in with the cost and, as a round took only around three hours, we played twice in one day. Quite a quirky little course, but a good challenge to the handicap nonetheless. Definitely worth playing, and worth playing twice!

It's been a number of years since I last played the Levante and it was in great condition. The greens were lightning fast on our first day which made them extremely challenging. On some greens with a slope, a placed ball would take off down the green and, on two holes that I recall, would run off the green and into water, with no rough to catch them - that's harsh. Really enjoyed the course, though, we played three times and, on the third time, the greens were more forgiving and we all ended up taking 10 or 12 strokes less. A general point, and not the fault of the course or its management as they have signs displayed, but players were leaving bunkers unraked and didn't repair pitch marks. It made us wonder what they do at their home courses. We were each repairing three or four pitch marks on every green and we gave up on the bunkers after the first round and deemed them out of play, they were so covered in footprints. We'll definitely be back though!

Tricky but very interesting short course, par 3's and 4's most of which had a carry! Not for beginners or wayward hitters, you would need to take a lot of balls with you.

We had a golf cart but you had to keep to the path, so it would of been better to have a trolley, the course was flat enough.

This was a really good course, with excellent greens that were difficult to read, so you often needed 3 putts! Wayward shots were punished since you often could not find your ball, but the bunkers were good & easier to get out of. We really enjoyed our round of golf which took about 4.5 hours.

WE started our round at 11am on Sunday, & the course was very busy. As expected, many of the golfers were rather wayward, & so progress was very slow because it was easy to get into trouble & lose balls if you went into the lush vegetation or one of the many hazards. The only real disappointment were the standard of the bunkers, some of which were compacted white stone rather than sand.

We found the club had changed our booking from 11am on Day 3 to 10am on Day 2. This was due to a planned competition. However no one informed us and we turned up at club house at 11am to play Poniente as booked. They were however very helpful and we played Levante at 11.40.

Great little course and probably more challenging than Levante. Unfortunately the voucher information was at odds with the booking. The club booked us on this course on day 3 rather than day2.

First time in a buggy had a blast. Some of the par 3s too short. More signage aroynd 13/14 would help couldnt find red tee box

A challenging course for beginners. Bit daunting and unexpected to be paired up with better player at the tee box. Worked out fine nice guy but a bit of warning would have been good.

Some holes had difficulty. Scenic course. Definitely needed the buggy!

A very nice short course which you definitely need a buggy for problem was how slow both course are we came off both courses after 9 holes took best part of 3 1/2 hours for 9 holes

The course wasn't in the best condition lots of divot marks on very slow greens.

Unfortunately most fairways and green approaches were being heavily sanded in preparation for a European seniors match and buggies were not allowed on the fairways. Due to the layout of the course this made them somewhat of a liability. The only reason you would use buggies is the green to tee distances.

The poniente course is very short and comprises of a lot of par 3 holes and quite short par 4s. Whilst this sounds easy and boring it was actually very well set out and quite challenging. Greens were ok and fairways good. Lack of accuracy can lead easily to losft balls.

Challenging course. But great fun.

All in good condition. Unfortunately the time we went they had just sanded and seeded the fareways which stopped the run of the ball but otherwise great.

Checked in and was told only 8 players had been booked and we had to pay for buggies. I showed coupon from your golf to me and after a short wait the problem was resolved. I don't need hassle like this when on holiday. Course Marshall very helpful as one buggy(mine) kept stopping. He swapped with his. Clubhouse very good and staff very good. Shame the hotel staff were not as good

Fantastic course. Every hole different and every one a different challenge. Added to this the scenery is brilliant. If we return next year, we will do 2 rounds on this course and only one on the Levante.

It felt very long and a great may bunkers

A beautiful looking course suitable for medium / high handicappers. The greens and especially the bunkers were in very poor condition and don't match the standard of the rest of the golf course and club.
