Old Course

The Old Course is an iconic links masterpiece, following a traditional out-and-back routing through some of the world's largest sand dunes. The layout is a seamless tapestry of golden-tipped grasses and spectacular views of the North Sea. With its classical design and breathtaking natural amphitheatres, this course delivers a truly unforgettable round.

All 18 holes wind their way intriguingly through the imposing dunes and golfers will be treated to breathtaking views from various vantage points around the course. Each hole will have 5 separate tees thus catering for all classes of golfer. Like any Hawtree course The Trump International links will be an enthralling golfing experience thanks to strategically placed bunkers undulating fairways and a stunning variety of holes that will no doubt keep the golfer on their toes from start to finish.

New Course

This epic modern links features towering windswept mountains of marram grass, expansive wetlands and historic relics. The New Course was meticulously crafted to be a one-of-a-kind experience, designed to challenge and mesmerise every golfer. It offers a commanding links experience with its cavernous sandy hollows and strategic design.

The layout starts in a links setting before going inland to heathland & wetland areas, then into the drama of the dunes with views of the North Sea.

The accommodation in MacLeod House consists of 9 bedrooms, 6 Superior Queen Rooms (3 of which are twins, two queen beds in each room) and 3 Grand Deluxe King Doubles. The hotel is very quaint and the staff could not do enough for you but I thought the lodge just left you a little disconnected

Very grand looking house but a little disappointing in side no grand reception just a hall way? Room was a big statement with Trump pillow etc. But behind the grand image we had curtains that did not draw missing blinds and we where in a ground floor room next to the parking not so fantastic really considering the over Trumpped brand. Full Breakfast was very good for me but my wife’s omelette was poor and service was very slow. Dinner in the golf club is a bit of a let down

Lots of people have rated this course as 5 and many at 1? We all have seen the stories about locals and distorting the nature but I have to say it is some course not for the faint hearted you need a good game and a long straight drive to enjoy this place. It is far too hard for the occasional golfer it’s a brutal test and for that I admire it! Greens are very tricky and long approaches to the wrong sector and it’s 3 putts all day. They are true and great surfaces a good short putt would drop. So I get the marmite approach to rating respect it and if your not good off the tee take a dozen balls or stay away 👍
