Pines Course

Sueno Pines is one of Belek's most welcoming and visually striking courses, rolling through mature pine forest with views across the Mediterranean. The layout suits everyone from single-figure players through to mid and high handicappers, with enough variety to keep you honest and enough scoring chances to keep the round enjoyable. The modern clubhouse is well equipped, the practice facilities are extensive, and the course itself stays in excellent condition year-round thanks to advanced irrigation and attentive greenkeeping.

What makes the Pines stand out in a region packed with championship courses is its blend of links-style character and parkland setting. You'll find fast-running fairways, large water hazards, expansive bunker complexes and plenty of strategic interest without the course ever feeling punishing. The routing takes full advantage of the natural pine canopy, offering shade and definition on most holes, while the open stretches give you a sense of space and let the wind play a role when it picks up. The driving range and short-game area are both generous, so you can dial in your distances before heading out, and the pro shop stocks everything you'll need if you've forgotten something or want to pick up a souvenir.

I'll admit it, I'm a bit of a sucker for courses that make you think from the tee, and the Pines does exactly that. It's friendly enough for mid to high handicappers, but it's also got plenty of bite for better players who like shaping shots and picking targets. Expect firm, fast-running turf when it's playing at its best, plus water and sand used in a way that asks you to commit rather than just lash driver.

Want to include Sueno Pines in your next Belek golf holiday? We can build it into a package with guaranteed tee times and the right hotel for your group.

Who is this for? Golf groups and couples who want a polished Belek set-up, strong practice facilities and a course that looks great on a sunny day while still feeling like a proper round.

Who is it best for? Mid to low handicappers who enjoy firm turf, strategic tee shots and hazards that force decisions, especially if you like water and bunkering shaping the round.

Pines Course

The Pines Course is the headline layout at Sueno, stretching to over 7,000 yards from the back tees. It's framed by dense pine and, although it isn't a links course in the pure sense, it borrows plenty of that links-style thinking: firm turf, strategic angles, and the odd moment where wind becomes part of the puzzle.

For low handicappers, the fun is in picking the right lines and controlling spin into greens that can feel lively when they're running quick. For mid to high handicappers, it's playable as long as you respect where the trouble actually is and choose a club that keeps you in position. There are scoring chances out there, but they tend to come when you've put the ball on the correct side of the fairway and opened up the right angle.

Water is a real feature on this course and it's not just there for decoration. On several holes it influences the tee shot, either asking you to take on a carry for the best angle or play conservatively and accept a longer approach. The bunkering is generous too, with big complexes that catch anything drifting offline, so it pays to pick a target and commit rather than steering.

The best bit is the variety. You'll move between tighter, pine-lined holes that demand accuracy and more open stretches where you can see the shape of the hole and decide how aggressive you want to be. It's a strong championship test from the tips, but you don't need to be a single-figure golfer to enjoy it, you just need a plan.

The greens are large and undulating, so even when you find the putting surface, you'll need to be on the right tier to give yourself a realistic birdie chance. In my experience, they run quick when conditions are right, and that adds another layer to approach play, especially on the longer par fours where you're coming in with a mid iron and need to judge both distance and spin.

If your group wants one course in Belek that balances holiday enjoyment with a proper examination of your long game, wedges and putting, Sueno Pines is well worth pencilling in.

Very disappointed with the slowness of play we came in after 11 holes as couldn't take it anymore and didnt play this course again . Couldn't get buggies we needed so couldn't play our 2 3 balls as hoped which ruined all golf for the group . We should have been told you cant book buggies any day before golf so could not go out in the 2 3 balls as we just took for granted would happen , we were split up and ended in 4 ball and 2 others been joined by strangers it just ruined the golf for us which no one was happy about .

The Pines Course is very well laid out and includes hole maps at each tee so you have a fair idea of where you are (supposed to be!) going. The course is quite undulating so even if you hit a good shot keep your eye on it as a random bounce isn’t uncommon. The greens are a reasonable size and have been well tended too however the overall soil and turf construction isn’t what most UK golfers are used to.

It’s very sandy based and has wide, thick-leafed grass which “grabs” at your club and doesn’t give a lot of “run” on the ball so the green isn’t as fast as it looks. There is a fair amount of water hazards so take some extra balls!  The rough isn’t severe other than pine-straw under the trees but it still can be tricky finding balls.

At the starters hut ask if there is any work on the course – we had full scarifying running on the ninth hole while we were playing which we thought was a bit “off side” as the entire Dunes course was closed for renovation.

We hired buggies (€30) and where happy to do so as it was hot by the time we got finished (08:30-ish start) by lunch-time. Many folks used trollies (€6) or carried although it is a fair hike, so if carrying ensure you (1) have a light bag (2) pickup enough water at the starter’s hut.

The hotel is the half-way house if you are that way inclined and the bar is good, well stocked and can provide sandwiches (nice!) as well.
