Southerndown is perched high above the Ogmore River Valley, and actually looks down on the celebrated links of Porthcawl. The course is tough yet also extremely endearing and will be enjoyed especially by lovers of seaside golf. While not the longest, Southerndown boasts a set of short holes that are the envy of most, while the closing hole, with its dramatic split-level fairway, will live long in the memory.

What a fantastic position, only a shame the weather was not quite so kind to us, blowy and cold and overcast. Loved this course also and would come back and play again, hopefully in warmer conditions; we're used to the wind blowing! Again great staff and a beautiful clubhouse and facilities. The course is a very good challenge and again in great nick.
