Pennard Golf Club, known by many as “The Links in the Sky”, is a magnificent links course founded in 1896, set on the Gower Peninsula, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Enjoy breathtaking views over Three Cliffs Bay and Oxwich as you play this classic, rugged layout perched 200 feet above sea level. The course features natural undulations, dunes and well-placed bunkers, with free-draining ground playable year-round.

Visitors are warmly welcomed to experience the golf course with excellent facilities including long and short practice ranges, a fully stocked Pro Shop and a friendly Bar & Restaurant. Pennard's staff and members take pride in offering an inclusive, genuine Welsh welcome.

Though just 8 miles from the centre of Swansea, Pennard's idyllic setting gives golfers a glorious sense of isolation and is the perfect backdrop for an ancient links of outstanding quality.

Pennard Golf Club

Established in 1896, Pennard owes thanks to its creators James Braid and C.K. Cotton, whose legacy is a links layout that traverses the humps, hillocks, mounds and hollows of the amazing landscape. Pennard, unlike many seaside courses, is not located immediately on the shoreline, rather it is perched on the cliff top, some 200 feet above the sea. This position makes it truly unique, providing incredible views.

Pennard is among Wales' finest, and carries a strong contingent of admirers; if spectacular seaside golf appeals, then make sure Pennard should be high on the list.

Pennard Golf Club is ranked as one of the best courses in Wales

Interesting and challenging course - particularly when it is pouring down with rain ( as we experienced !!) . The course is on common land with cows and numerous public footpaths .Greens protected and were good . Fairways not in great condition and in hindsight our group of 12 would have played preferred lies.

A stunning course "the links in the sky" was very exposed to the strong winds evident on the day. We had a late start due to a Open competition being held (we had been warned) and with a lot of blind holes with marker posts we only just made it in the light. Every green was surrounded by low level cheese wire to keep animals off the greens which was very difficult to see. The greens were very fast and true but a number of fairways are still in recovery mode.
