Richard Bradbeer's design at Garstang is set beautifully on the banks of the Rivers Wyre and Calders. The parkland course rewards accuracy over power, and the locals will tell you that you have to make your score on the opening loop, as there are some testing par-4s on the way home.

0800 043 6644The natural hazards that the designer has utilised make the course feel mature, despite its relative youth. The signature hole is the par-3 seventh, where finding the green is a daunting proposition, as the putting surface is guarded tightly by a stream at the front.

Bedroom was a bit smelly … probably from furniture that I would NOT put my clothes on !! Room rather devoid of character , no pictures/paintings on walls but bed was comfy. Food was reasonable for Dinner and breakfast passable. Staff were nice , friendly and Local.
