Described by Old Tom Morris as, "the most beautiful inland green I have ever seen", the Rosemount Course owes much to designer James Braid, who was influenced by Augusta National architect Dr. Alistair MacKenzie. The course winds its way charmingly through the pine and silver birch trees, and the abundant heather. It was here that a youthful Greg Norman claimed his first professional title in the 1977 Martini tournament.

The Lansdowne Course is a fine compliment to the more classical Rosemount; here, design duo Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas have manipulated the same land to form a very challenging, modern course. To round off the Blairgowrie experience, the nine-hole Wee Course boasts some of Alister MacKenzie's original holes.
With the fingerprints of many of golf's foremost names so evident, it is little surprise that Blairgowrie is so highly rated.
