Amelkis Golf Club

Although it sits under the gaze of the often snow-tipped Atlas mountains, the course at Amelkis is distinctly American in terms of the design concept. Relatively open and certainly created with the resort golfer in mind, the layout is marked by huge water hazards and expanses of sand, while indigenous trees serve as a reminder of the North African location.

Amelkis has received rave reviews in its short existence to date, and is a good indicator that Morocco is steadily being transformed into a genuine international golf holiday destination. If you are considering Marrakech for your next golf escape to the sun, be sure to include Amelkis as part of the trip.

Course was very nice with some very challenging holes. There are many bunkers which add to the difficulty but overall it’s a good challenge for golfers of all abilities. In very good condition with greens quite fast.

This was a course lined with large houses, some spectacular. There are a number of very good holes and the course was testing but relatively open, particularly the driving. There were a number of long par 4 which were difficult to reach in two. Overall a course well worth playing.

Very busy but it was a Sunday. Also buggiescare a real problem here, not enough. But upside was we had 1 buggy and 2 caddies who were brilliant. Mahmoud and Aziz made the round so thanks to them

No Clubhouse facilities available when we played. One of the original three courses in Marrakech and is undergoing some renovation. Very friendly staff did their best to make up for the present deficiencies
